Tui Na (Twee Nah)
Tui Na can be traced back to Ancient China and is thought to be one the oldest bodywork systems. China now recognises Tui Na as a medical system able to treat many tendon and bone related conditions with great efficacy.
Being a musculoskeletal, manipulative massage makes it an effective medium for targeting problem areas. It’s beneficial for alleviating the stress your body experiences from serious, physical demands.
Tui Na is an effective treatment for treating conditions relating to the reproductive, digestive and respiratory systems – helping relieve conditions such as IBS., Insomnia, Migraines, Breathing Difficulties, Constipation and PMS.
Your Tui Na practitioner will use a series of movements to include, brushing, kneading, pressing, rolling and rubbing. By working along the meridians, these movements will stimulate your body’s energy (Qi) and blood supply, encouraging your body to heal.
Before your first treatment your practitioner will take an in-depth consultation and follow specific principles, enabling them to ascertain the nature and cause of your problem. They’ll assess the condition of your musculoskeletal function and how and for how long you’ve been experiencing your symptoms. This is important so your treatment can be tailored, specifically to you.
